    Reading or converting ACAD2000 files

Anyone know if there a way to read Acad2000 files with Rev 12 or a generic
CAD program? Or a way to convert the Acad2000 files to a generic format?

Or.... is there a 3rd party program that I can use to read Acad2000
    drawings?

I know this is a strange situation, so pls spare me the "Wow! You're still
using R12?! I mean what a moron!" comments. Without going into the whys and
wherefores, that's what we are up against in this situation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Look for Intellicad. There several "flavors" out there, but all seem to
be able to open R2000 and newer and to save them as R12. You will lose
    some information in the conversion.

Thanks, Pete. Would you mind giving me a step-by-step procedure on how to
do it? I have to relay this to a customer who has 2000 but still learning
    how to use it.

Just do a "save as" and select R12 dxf from the "files of type" drop down.

Thanks, folks. I got some A2000 files converted to R12, and I can read most
of them, but all the details didn't come thru. Had to break down and get
    A2000.

Thank again for all the info!
