I want to show the slope of EMBANKMENT that looks like

You could look at a linetype called "fosse" at this site:
http://www.designcommunity.com/cgi-b.../edicola/lwcon
You may be able to modify it to suit your needs, otherwise try the Make
Linetype if you have Express Tools.

Ars: I guess then I don't quite understand your original post. Do you want to place a hatch on a slope? In 2D? In 3D?

FOOSE is good for straight lines
Does not work on ARC/ CIRCLEs
Any other option
