Problem with A2004 on a windows 2000 fileserver

Is there a reason why A2004 on a windows 2000 box used a a fileserver be
more prone to fatal errors compared to windws 2000 with A2004 running on a
comp with the same specs but used as a regualr workstation.

run ping plotter or similar as I would suspect a network problem if all else
checks out ok
