    Installing Service Pack using GPO?

Has anyone had luck installing LDT2005 SP1 using a GPO? I get a message
telling me "Unable to deploy package. The package does not support a Windows
    compatible platform."

Any ideas? Base program works fine, but I can't get the SPs to go!

    Jim,

I just posted a note on my LDT problems. You might look for it. Did you know
that LDT was delivered in the USA as "locked" software, without mention on
the packaging? There is no caution on the webpage for the service pack
either. SP1 unlocked will not work LDT 2005 as delivered in the USA. This is
    different from AutoCAD and ADT.

Also you need to manually copy the expresstools from the CD and the Eula
    directory.

Autodesk should have re-issued the disk set!

Not sure what GPO means. Hope this helps.

    Regards, Ted

    Hi James,

Are you just using an MSI file with a GPO to deploy to the client? if so do the clients logging in have at least poweruser promotions on the client worktions?

They do, but I can't even get the GPO to accept the msi as a valid
installation source. I just get the error message from my first message when
I try to make the installation GP.
