Design Center Slow when accessing folders on Novell Network.

We are having problems with the Design Center in ACAD 2005 when accessing
foders on a Novell Network which contain a lot of subfolders. It often
takes 15 or 20 minutes for it to resolve all of the subfolder names.
Sometimes, it never resolves and you have to "end task" on the AutoCAD
program. The machine is locked up the moment you click on the parent
folder in the Design Center. Has anyone else experienced this? Does
anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

We are running netware 5.x but this is similar to a problem we are working on.
1. make sure file caching is turned off on the client workstations.
2. browse to a novell folder and right click on a .dwg
one of your options should be enable/disable digital signature icons.
3. left click and uncheck Validate digital signatures and display special icons.
Helped speed things up here.
