Home licenses for network users

We will be upgrading our network acad licenses soon, and have found that we cannot take advantage of the home license system.
Most of us have desktop PC's at home and can't request a license for a few hours (as you can with laptops).
What options are there us?

Can the users somehow connect to your license server through RAS or VPN? If
so they can get licenses. They can dial in. Borrow a license and then
disconnect.
