    client for Microsoft Networks

Does "Client for Microsoft Networks" need to be installed on the client in order for the client to see the license server? A customer of mine installed and nothing however when client for microsoft networks was installed it detected the server. Is this a necessary and documented thing?

Not needed, just use the IP address of the license server in autocad. Or get
    its name in DNS.
