    Error 1.5,-4

    Hello,

User is getting this error after testing on one system, he shutdown AutoCAD
on first one, moved to the next and the error occurs. Suggested he shutdown
the Lic manager and restart with LMTOOLS. Tried it with no success. This was
    working fine before last week.

    Thanks
    David

I think 1.5-4 means all of the seats on the license server are taken.
Tell him to perform a status inquiry in LMTools file to determine the number of available licenses and the number in use.

OK, if an lic. is stuck at a PC that has shutdown AutoCAD and the status
inquiry reports one lic. with 0 available. How do we unstick it?

    Thanks
    David

    Hi David,
You can use the TIMEOUT variable to set a period of inactivity and then the
    server takes the license back.

    Thanks Lu,

Is that a bit of stopgap? Suppose user moves right over over to another
system and attempts to start AutoCAD? What would be a workable time of
inactivity and what happens if someone leaves a drawing up and leaves
    without saving it?
