    LMTOOLS 7.1

Are the new license files generated by autodesk compatible with older versions of the LMTOOLS? I tried to add the string to my existing 7.1 (2002) manager but doing a server status inquiry shows an error for that particular license group.

Are there any reasons to stay with an older version of lmtools? I use the
latest and have no problems with it.

I believe they are not compatible. You will need to install the newer
license manager. Or there is a way to just replace a few files. Search this
    group for posts explaining how.

    No they aren't.
But the latest FLEX version can handle license files back to
    FLEX version 3.2
So be sure that you've allways installed the highest version
    of FLEXlm.
