Turn off Wblock preview

Does anyone know how to turn off the Wblock preview pane, when using
the WBlock method?

I've never seen a "Wblock preview pane." What version of AutoCAD(?) are you
using?

Ditto. I use wblock frequently since R14, and I am not aware of a "preview
pane". AutoCAD does not offer (that I know of) a preview when you save a
wblock, nor when you insert one. Putting the question in reverse - if you know
a wya to make it do that, it might be a pretty cool feature!
