Auto Cad will not recognize printer

I have a HP laptop with windows XP installed. I have a HP PSC 2355 all in one printer (printer, scanner, copier) already installed on my computer and it works great with all my programs except auto cad lt 2002. For some reason it won't recognize the printer at all. It is a USB hookup on the printer and I am wondering if that might be the problem. Also the printer doesn't have a way to hook up the old way through the cable. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks

LT is a Windows program like all the others: simply start PLOT command,
select that Windows driver that all the other applications print to, then
    click OK to plot.

Do not select a PC3 file, do not create a PC3 file, do nothing with
Plottermanager, until you can do all the above without any issue.
Remember to set LT to show you system printers if it does not, uncheck the
hide system printers box in Options command>plotting tab.
