plotting different colours than the screen

On of our users is plotting some elevations which are mainly done using images & hatch patterns.
Plotting to a Design jet at a1 we have no problems.
but plotting to our Toshiba Studio 310c laser is a disaster with no colors matching what's on screen.
I think it may be because the DesignJet has different ink sources to mix and the laser has only 3 toner sources so can't match the output.
    Anyone got any ideas.

Usually, color control depends on your printer driver settings, and you have
to be aware of variations between manufacturers and devices too.

Sounds like you need to spend time testing and setting your drivers etc.

it seems no amount of tweaking will allow me the same color output from a toshiba e310 studio that i can get from the designjet 5500.
I'v spent lots of time editing the pc3, ctb ,the printing preferences, driver settings etc. Currently the manufacturer has come and taken the results off to check.
