    Image doesn't plot, sort of

    Here is an odd one.

    In a nutshell:

We have a .gif image for a project that is attached to the titleblock.
The titleblock is xrefed into each sheet in paper space. The image
shows up fine in the print preview but doesn't actually plot.

Things that do not plot the image:

Publish Entire sheet set from SSM

    Publish Single sheet from SSM

    ActiveX plotting (custom routine)

Manual plotting of the entire sheet from the plot dialog box.

Things that do plot the image:

Manual plot windowing around just the image.

So, basically I can pick a window around the image, it plots.
Pick a window around the entire sheet (24x36) the image
    doesn't plot. Hmmm.....

    AutoCAD 2005 (all service packs/updates)
    Windows 2000 Pro (SP4)
HP DesignJet 600 as network printer.

I've tried using a .jpg rather than a .gif, same problem.

And of course, this job has to be plotted "now".

    Any suggestions?

You image on a larger sheet size creates a plot file that your
plotter/printer cannot handle: HP600s are kind of limited that way.

A newer plotter or plot to smaller sheet sizes may help, if you already
tried the PLOT IN COMPUTER option in the driver.

Plot in computer doesn't help the issue, but thanks for
the suggestion. We use images all the time here and
have never seen this behavior, it isn't like this image is
more complex then anything else we have ever used.

Regardless, looks like they get plotted without the image
and it becomes sticky-back time at the Architects office.

with similar memory problems in the past we have had to resort to plotting at A3 with scale by 200% turned on in the plot dialog - this can get round some problems.
