    OCE TDS 600 Accounting Methods

Hello, we have an OCE TDS 600 here and are using the accounting system built into the drivers, so each time we plot from a different job each user must change the pc3 "custom properties - accounting parameters - Account ID" field to the job number, this is time consuming, and most people forget to change the job.

Is there a way to automatically have the OCE reflect the project name you are working on in the accounting parameters field using lisp or other methods?

    Thanks much,
    Mark McClure

I've just come on here looking for the same info. We are taking delivery of
the same system and the accounting looked as though it would be an absolute
bonus - until I started to read the documentation.

I spoke directly with some of the tech people at Oce who filled me with
dread when they couldn't give me any answers as to how it would be possible
    to automate the accounting parameters.

We have a fully automated drawing issue system which, with a single click,
plots all our electronic and paper copies, uploads to an FTP site and sends
out emails and I need to know how to integrate the accounting into this
system but it looks like Oce are unable to provide me with any answers. As
the deadline approaches for us to move from our 9600 to the TDS600, I'm
getting more than a little concerned that our slick system is going to get
an almighty spanner in the works.

If anybody who has this system in place and knows how you can pass
accounting details to the process, I for one would VERY much like to know.

You might be able to do it using the Oce Remote Control Format, A
reference manual was included with our plotter. Otherwise you will need
to use print tracking software, I recommend Argos print tracking from
    www.Sepialine.com

Agreed. That's what we use, and it's a very nice setup. There are some
    issues, but Sepialine does great.

Your options for providing the data on the front end when printing to
    the Oce include:

    - Oce Windows Print Driver, optimized for AutoCAD, with back channel
communication to the printer to pull accounting fields.
    - Oce job submission software to submit plot files (such as Oce Print
    Exec Workgroup)
    - 3rd party applications such as those mentioned, which work very well
    - Create your own headers. Jose is headed down the right path, but the
newer language from Oce is the Oce Job Ticket format, with extensions
    for Oce Account Center.

    hope this helps.
