Converting Autocad .dwg to Microstation .dgn

We have a client that uses Microstation .DGN format drawings. What is the easiest way to convert our drawings (R2004 ".dwg") to Microstation .DGN format? Can Microstation import .DXF files? if so, which version ??? Any tips/ Suggestions??? Thanks

Depends on what version of MicroStation your client uses. MicroStation
v8 (or 2004) will open Acad 2004 files natively. MicroStation J
(version 7) will convert Acad 2002 files on the fly. MicroStation SE
(version 5?) will read Acad 2000 files.

Note MicroStation J or SE will not read files saved to Acad 2002 or
2000 from Acad 2004. These files are not "true" 2000 or 2002 formats.
If you have the earlier versions of ACad, these files can be opened
and saved in the appropriate version and can then be read by MStation.
