    Tahoma

We recently upgraded to Windows XP and the fonts seem to be acting a little
    odd in the mtext dialog.

    Some Background:
We have a block that basically contains mtext that is inserted and xploded
    from a menu.

The font type is helv4.shx to which there is no equivalent true type fonts
on our machines; therefore under normal conditions it should not appear in
    the mtext dialog.
However, it happens to be the font for a text style called TITLE which is
the text style selected for this mtext entity; therefore, it does appear in
the Mtext dialog as a proxy font.

    The problem:
Whenever a person goes to edit the text in the mentioned dialog box, the
font type switches from the helv4 proxy shx font to the Tahoma true type
font (which, by the way, happens to be very similar to the shx font).

This is making me pull my hair out!
Anyone know what can be making this happen?

    Thank you,
    Edward

Select AutoCAD or LT from the program pulldown.
In the search box, type TAHOMA, read articles that show up.

In Windows Fonts folder, also make sure you have the Proxy Fonts Autodesk
    provides installed.
