    Mtext Text Color

I have AutoCAD 2000i and am wondering if anyone could help me with an issue
I am having with my Multiline Text Editor dialog box. The color of the text
in the area that you type the text is almost the same color as the
background (black) and is hard to see. The text color is normally cyan but
lately it has changed. I can see small portions of each letter that are
"trying" to be the normal color, but the rest of each letter is "ghosted"
    (if that makes sense).

Changing the color box doesn't help. I've tried ByLayer, ByBlock, and
    others, to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Relz

You should be able to fix the problem with a windows setting. Control
    Panel...Display....Appearance Tab....Effects....and uncheck the "method
to smooth edges of screen fonts" Good Luck.

Worked like a charm. Thanks! You're a genius. I would have never found
    that on my own.
