Another scale question but I'm new here |
|
|
I know how to set or change the line scale in model and paper space, but is
it possible to control the scale of a dashed line created in a .ctb file.
Example, using the plot style manager I selected the color blue and from the
Line type pull down menu I selected Dashed then clicked on save & apply.
Now if I draw a line from a layer using a dashed line type and another line
from layer 0 (continuous) and make it the color blue, they both appear as
dashed lines in paper space but they are at two different ltscales. Is it
possible to control the scale of the blue line generated by the .ctb file?

it sounds like you may have changed the line type on the toolbar as well,
make sure that is set to "by layer"
also, it has been my experience that you generaly don't draw in layer 0.
Make up a new layer with the color and linetype you desire.

I think I found it. I have been looking for quite awhile now and as soon as
I posted the question it pops up in front of me but thank you for taking an
interest. This is what I found
To apply scaling to non-ISO linetypes and fill patterns
1.. From the File menu, choose Plot Style Manager.
2.. Double-click the plot style table that you want to modify.
3.. In the Plot Style Table Editor, General tab, select Apply Global Scale
Factor to Non-ISO Linetypes.
This option scales linetypes and fill patterns according to a value that you
specify.
4.. In the Scale Factor box, enter a scale factor to apply.
5.. Choose Save & Close.
