I am having trouble getting drawings form a designer. She is running
Vectorworks 9.0 and I am running AcadLT 2004. She has sent me a dwg, a dxf,
and just recently an esps. None of the files have opened in AutoCAD and I do
not know whether this is a problem on my end or on her end. Any leads would
be appreciated. I thought I used to be able to open Vectorworks files in the
past, but I can not remember how to do it.
I did get an error message when importing the dxf file:
gypsy elev.dxf2.dxf is not valid DXF file
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.

Could this be from e-mailing and is there a better way? Thanks

Don;

We specialize in file translations.

If you will zip up the files, we will take a look.

Send us the .dwg, .dxf and vectorworks file formats.

Contact us via e-mail for file upload instructions.

Sincerely;

There lot of problems to import dxf files from Designer and visio to
AutoCAD. The best way is maybe on Designer/Visio select all objets, and
under AutoCAD ( >=2004 )
do edit-> Special copy-> copy as AutoCAD entity.

Regards,
Olivier.
