Oce and Trying to Plot consistenly - Part I |
|
|
I've got an Oce hardware tech trying to tell us that one of the causes of
the (many) problems we've had with their controller and driver software is
that we plot to 24"x36" sheets - a "non-standard" size. We're an American
civil engineering firm.
Just for the sake of asking, anyone else use this size?

We have an Oce TDS800 and plot ±10,000 sq ft of paper a day, much of
that is 24x36 in size. No problems. |

There is a setting in the PLC (accessed user the settings editor) for paper series. There is a choice of DIN (metric) or ANSI (inches) check it is setup correctly. Make sure the paper size for Roll X is setup correctly. If you load a 36" roll the paper size is ARCH E+ (I think). Oce paper size philosophy based on the width of the roll being the shortest dimension of the sheet (think about it).
What exactly is (isn't) happening ?

We have an Oce' and plot 24"x36" all the time. As well as 11"x17", 17"x22",
some 18" drawings, 30"x42", and some others.

We have an OCE TDS600 and I just got done plotting over 100 36x24 pages out
of AutoCAD 2005 - absolutely zero problems.
