Print driver PROBLEM ?? |
|
|
Microstation J, winXP OS, Winserver2003 print server...
Created queue for the HP DesignJet550, if properties such as paper size,
colour, etc. are preset on the server queue, then the user selects one of
the preset selections, all Fonts are plotted thicker as are all lines.
If, however, the user selects the appropriate plotter, then ignores the
preset selections and sets the properties himself prior to each plot, the
line weights are all correct. Even though he selects exactly the same
settings as were set by the administrator on the queue.
What gives?

An easy answer is to send the plots directly to the plotter in the driver
(default_outfile=\\server\printer - or something similar). If this works,
the user just has to pick that driver.
