I can't find the Bentley newsgroups in the list from my news server. Can
someone tell me their proper root name?

Hello Wal,
the name of the news server is "news.viecon.com"
The group names are

bentley.microstation.v8.general
bentley.geographics
bentley. triforma.architectural

and so on
