Greetings!

Can someone explane how I should make a blow up detail view of an object with out the dimentions changing - Let me give an example of my problem, I am making a drawing [1:1] of a garage and for the blueprint page I would like to show the the full section view of the garage from foundation footings to the ridge, but now its hard to see the detail of the sofit & rake area so I copied that small area and moved it over then dimentioned it all and scaled it up, and here is my problem all the dimentions scaled up too whitch is no good, any ideas on how to do this a better way other than manually changing all the dimentions back??

Thanks

You should handle the scaling through viewport scales in paperspace (layout mode). In modelspace always draw at 1:! scale. You can still copy portions to different areas, and use different text size/dimension scale to match the viewport/plotting scale you'll be using.

Since what I do in AutoCAD is only for a hobby I have always for some reason avoided working in paper space. I have a feeling I need to start learning more about it though.....

Thanks, for the info!
