Problem Printing Hatch |
|
|
I having problems printing hatched drawings. I am using a new HP LaserJet 4250tn, its model is not listed on the HP list and the CD nor the HP web site have a Heidi driver for it. The are two system drivers on the web, one is a PostScrip and the other is a PCL driver. I installed the PCL and configured a PC3 on it using one of the laserjet models from the HP list. Is any one using the printer? Can I get some recommendations about which system driver is better for AutoCAD, PCL or PostScrip?

In past experiences, never had problem using the PCL instead of the PostScript.

FYI, HP does not do HDI drivers for their printers/plotters.
Autodesk does not write HDI drivers for anyone.
Since Windows adoption by Autodesk many versions ago, you should be looking
for the manufacturer suggested driver and what they recommend.
Either will work fine in your case, although Postscript can give better
shading qualities if you are in R2005 and plan to use it's new shading
features.
