Microstation STL export? |

Hi
does anybody know what the best procedure is to generate an .STL file
from a microstation file ?
I tried exporting in iges format and then importing into various other
applications that have an stl export feature - but for some reason the
circles and planar shapes (generated with the create complex shape
command) all drop out.
everything else seems to convert ok.
i suppose i could just go in and recreate the missing elements - but I
can't help but think there must be a cleaner way to do this.
any help would be appreciated
