Tell me how you do it, work foolproof in V8 |

Suppose you have a seriously complex drawing, one person now and then
needs to update the drawing/content/drafted elements.
How do you make sure no matter what happens, everytime someone else
opens the drawing, he can make exactly the same plot without checking
all possible settings?!
Tell me how you do it without a working around!
Kind regards Walter
(Complex drawing: models, sheetfile, selfreferences from other models
in same drawing, constant rendered views, wireframe saved view,
overrides for levelsymbologys, masks, clippings, different scalings,
text over filled regions, you name it: what you feel makes the file
tricky and complex is in it.)
NB The plotter settings are constant anyway, thats not an issue in
this case.

Hey Walter,
you can use
1. save settings in the drawing file
2. saved views (or just one saved view) in the drawing file
3. saved plot configuration
Hope this helps.

You need to have stuff that is common like fonts, line styles,
seedfiles, colourtables etc standardised and stored onlt on a common |
point ie the cad server these must not be acessed locally unless you can
arrange for some batch file to execute and copy these down from server
onto a pc every login that way everyone is on the same page so to
speak..you need to get your sytem admin to talk to bentley .. if youre
on select you can have select server application which will help do some
of this...
