I am trying to convert multiline text into to a solid, by exploding the
text to polylines, union, then extrude. When I try to explode with the
2004 Express tools txtexp command I get the follow error: "a bad
argument type: fixnump: nil." I Also tried a XT.lsp, but when I try to
explode the multiline text I get the following error: "oops... ERROR:
bad argument type: lentityp nil." Any suggestions?

HiHo;
You might try Elefont. It is a free tool to create 3D text objects from TTF
fonts
(ELEvated-FONTSs). They are generated into DXF-files which you
can import for example into BRYCE or AutoCad rendering software.
You can see EleFont at this URL. There is also a link to a download site.

You can set up a Data eXchange Binary (DXB) printer, then print (export)
your file containing your ACAD Text objects to DXB format. Simply import
the DXB file, region the text and extrude.

QED
