Added the "i" but still quoting "Gary Lafrenière" from a previous post
(read: Try searching!)

You can install AutoCAD 2000 in a computer running Windows XP.
Just type-in the Authorization code that was assigned to the CD.

In order to install AutoCAD 2000i in Windows XP, it must be installed in
Win98 compatibility mode. Follow this procedure:

1. Insert your AutoCAD 2000i disk in the drive.
2. Use Windows Explorer to find the setup.exe file.
3. Right click on the setup.exe file.
4. Click on Properties.
5. Select the "Compatibility" Tab on of the Properties dialog.
6. Click on "Windows 98".
7. Click on "Apply"
8. Click on "Okay".
9. Double click on the setup.exe file and AutoCad 2000i should install with
no problems.
10. Type-in the Authorization code.
