Advanced polyline modify |
|
|
Is there any list routine, or something of the kind, that reduces polylines
vertex number to its minimum without modifing its geometry (for insance a
polyline with many segments lying on the same straight line automatically
transformed in one with a single straight segment). This would be really
usefull to "recover" messy drawings coming from other softwares where
original simple polylines are exploded in thousands of little lines (see
also the discussion on z values in autodesk.viz.visions)
Thanks in advance
Fabrizio

I am not sure (not at an AutoCAD enabled PC) but I believe the Express Tool
OVERKILL might be what you are looking for.

I thank you but I don't know where to find. There is no OVERKILL on my
AutoCAD2000 exptress tools menus.

Type it at the command line...
It showed up on later Express Tools versions, you may have an earlier copy.
You can search the internet for later versions or other tools that do the
same.
