Hi I'm running LDD 3 and Civil 3, next week we get 2005 W/Civil 3D. Can't wait.

Anyways, I'm dealing with a mess of 3D polylines and block references that are very close to each other. Basically 2 sets of contours. They are from Microstation and are on the same layer. Is there any way to isolate the blocks to delete the blocked lines without erasing the 3D lines? Presently I'm selecting them one at a time and erasing them. 2 different contour sets the blocks are 1.5 feet too low and they run right next to the 3D polys.

THanks for the help on this. Heidi

You're welcome.

You might want to check out Quick Select on the PROPERTIES dialog box as well, though I don't find it as easy to use.

Express tools also has a function called SSX, that can be pretty handy too.

SSX was never a part of Bonus OR Express tools. I've used it since... gosh,
I can't remember that long ago!

<<SSX was never a part of Bonus OR Express tools. I've used it since... gosh, I can't remember that long ago!>>

Lesee, it's on my Express Tools CD for R2002, R200i, and R14. It's in the Bonus Tools disk on my R13 and R12 floppies and the Extra Stuff floppy for R11 and R9 (don't have R10 floppies up here).

So what version of AutoCAD are you working with?

SSX is a very old Autolisp routine. It may have been rolled into Express
Tools somewhere along the line, but it certainly didn't start out there.

<<SSX was never a part of Bonus OR Express tools. I've used it since... gosh, I can't remember that long ago! >>

As per my software disks:
SSX.LSP V1.0 - Bonus Disk R9 - 1987
SSX.LSP V2.0 - Bous Disk R10 - 1988 (Larry Knott)
SSX.LSP V3.0 - Bonus Disk R11 - 1990 (Bethea & Yoder) First AutoDESK Copyright appearance)

It stayed at V3.0 through R14. For R2000, the header changed and it lost the previous revision history and became just "Copyright 1999 AutoDESK inc.", where it remains in R2002. I haven't checked later rel.

Interesting English

<<SSX was never a part of Bonus OR Express tools>>

Means the same thing as:

<<SSX is a very old Autolisp routine. It may have been rolled into Express Tools somewhere along the line, but it certainly didn't start out there.>>
