Revert 2005 file to 2000 format |

Is there a utility to revert a file from a 2005 version dwg back to a 2000 version dwg? I am out in the field and dont have ready access to 2005... I hate budget cuts...

I didn't see anything in the OP to make me think he only wanted to

If you do not have 2005 as you say, you will have to buy a third party tool:
Autodesk does not provide anything like that.
Or ask for files in R2000 format in the first place?

Hi m,
You can not convert 2005 to 2000 using 2000, but it sounds like you have 2005 in the office, just not in the field with you. So, you can set your preferences in 2005 to "save as 2000 format". That way they will always open seamlessly in any of 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005 versions.
While out in the field, you just have to make certain that everyone knows to send you 2000 formatted dwg's. |
