Menu load failed... |
|
|
I have a Windows 2000 box with A2K and 2004. I get this message upon opening
2000:
menu load failed. File not found: undefined. (mnu/mns/mnc)
click okay and then
menu load failed. File not found: end. (mnu/mns/mnc)
I type menuload and recompiled the mnu and it is fine until I close and
restart AutoCAD. I get the messages again.
I tried resetting the profile. I also copied a fresh mnu.
We run 2000 and 2004, but sometimes run into this. I suspect some
incompatibility between these. There are both installed in their default
locations.
I need a quick fix. Tired of reinstalling 2000.
Thanks
PS. have to have 2000 to support legacy apps until we can afford to upgrade
some of them.

If a particular menu that was compiled in 2002 (or earlier) is loaded
into 2004 (or 2005), 2004 will recompile the menu for 2004/2005 format.
This menu is no longer compatible with R2002 and earlier.
In order to use this same menu in 2002 and earlier, you must use the
MENU or MENULOAD command in 2002 and load the MNU file, which of course
recompiles the MNS, MNC, and MNR files.
Ensure that your 2000 and 2004 are not sharing any menu files. |

Thanks for your time. I have found the problem to be with having express
tools loading in both versions. They seem to conflict. I have started a new
thread about this. I got AutoCAD 2000 reinstalled, but express tools stop
working in one ver. when I install in the other.
