There are

IC5032, IC5033, IC5141, on native Cadence Database (CDBA)
ICOA5033, ICOA5141, on OpenAccess 2.0 Database (OA)
ICOA5241, on OpenAccess 2.2 Database (OA)

If you have some of them installed you'll find a 'Whats New'
in the right corner of nearly ever tool under the 'Help' menu,
this is probably the easiest way to get this kind of information.
Also there are the so called 'Release Notes' accessible through
'cdsdoc' the Cadence online documentation or under
<install_dir>/doc/cicnew/cicnew.pdf

You can find the 'Release Notes' also on SourceLink
http://sourcelink.cadence.com

Not sure if this has been answered before in this forum - When will
Cadence stop releasing CDBA products and just only support OA
databases? e.g will Cadence release a CDBA version of the IC5241 or
will customers eventually be forced to totally move to the OA database.

My apologies if this a horse that has been beaten to death before....

Jose

IC5141 is the last CDB release. It is planned to be supported until 2008
(I believe) - the info is on sourcelink.

So 5.2.51 (out already) and 6.1 (due mid 2006) will be OA only.

Andrew.

hi,
every object in a schematic or layout is stored in a database. cdba and oa are different databses. cdba is an cadence internal database and oa is an "open source" database (developed originally by cadence).
oa should be quicker and saves storage space in the case of huge designs.
more information can be found: http://openeda.si2.org/
greetings,
hikom
