flexible part balloon problem |
|
|
Sorry about the re-post, but I never got any help with this problem:
I understand that BOM balloon for several of the same flexible components
won't show up. But now when I create a non-associative balloon for them, I
go to fix the index record for them and Pro/E says it can't for that
particular item. What do I do if I add parts later and forget that my one
balloon needs to manually be changed each time?
Thanks in advance,
Jason

No. I'm running 140 & it still doesn't work. I first encountered this
with rev 18, so don't hold your breath. Balloons also fail to appear if
you use family tables to assemble more than one instance of an object.
(What we used to have to do before flexible components)
To avoid possible miss - labelling, (wrong data being worse than no
data, and all that) we don't create 'dumb' balloons, and leave the
occaisional unlabelled component with a note instead.
