Redundant server rename |
|
|
Can I rename a server in a redundant system without having to get a new
license? Since no hardware changed I was hoping I could just edit the
license file to reflect the new name.
thanks

Hi Ken,
yes, you can change name of your computer there is no problem with it, but
you should also change the name of it in all three license files, don't
forget on clients side you need to make same changes in the licpath.lic
file, otherwise clients will not find that computer.
Hope this helps.
