2005 - Plotter Config Editor - Metric |
|
|
How do I get "printable area" to read metric units in Plotter Configuration
Editor when I click on Modify Standard Paper Sizes? In 2002, there is a
radio button for inches / mm on the Plot Settings page. Printable area is
shown there as well.

This is 2005 (stated in the subject). The patch addresses scale and offset,
not printable area. And, the conversion is wrong, but close enough. When I
am in Plotter Configuration Editor, and click on Modify Standard Paper Sizes
(Printable Area), then 11*17, I am shown
LR:0.19",0.19" Printable Area: 10.62" * 16.62". In 2002, I click on the mm
radio button and my printable area shows as 269.77 * 422.17.

Which conversion is wrong?
11"-2*0.19"=10.62" >> 269.77 / 25.4 = 10.62087"
17"-2*0.19"=16.62" >> 422.17 / 25.4 = 16.62087"
Isn't that close enough?

As I stated, it is close enough. 10.62 * 25.4 = 269.748 on my calculator.
And FYI, I think in plotter units which is .025mm. Do you have an answer to
the OP or would you like to discuss something else?
