sorry for the cross posting
I would like to add a 3D effect on the facade of a house I finished
drawings. Is there an add on "freeware" that I can use.

okay that is going to be a bit of a hassle.. there are a couple ways to go.

1.
if your house is an autocad or some type of digital drawing, then a
farily acurate 3d model should be able to be compiled by placing three
of your building elevations on an XYZ face. then using the autocad
command (can't remember the command line name right now) it will
project those three faces togehter. and there intersection is the
resulting 3-d solid.

if your confused its the same as taking three orthographic views and
putting all that computer power together to figure out how the 3-d
model of those ortho's work.

the process can be reversed two.. one 3-d model can be used to
project 3 or more orthographic views.

this will return the best result. (if you have acurate building
elevations.

2. us the old school brute force method and draw a 30/30 iso metric
2-d model of your house. use the iso snap and grid's in autocad to
default lines two a 30 deg. angle. also to make circles into ellipes
on each face.

if you know how to place and run everything with step 1. the result
should be top notch, and relativly quick. with step 2 the result can be
more actuatle then the "quick time" 3-d model of step 1. however step 2
will take you a long time to make a "pretty picture"
