Does anyone know how to get Proe to output the time it estimates a tool
path will take. I want to see the difference between, feeds speeds,
step over all the fun stuff. Thanks

David J where are you?

Yeah, Shuan, I'm here. But it's been a while since I did any Pro/NC stuff. I

thought I remembered you could get a rough estimate out of Pro/NC-CHECK or out of
Verify. But I don't see it anywhere. Where I do see it, you won't like. It's
definitely buried in an add-on module called Pro/PROCESS for Mfg.

I mean this is just the meanest, stupidest, stick-it-to-the-loyal-customer thing
imaginable: you have a feed of 3ipm and a cutter path of 3 feet which is contained
in the CL data (36"/3ipm=12 minutes, what's the big deal, PTC!). Why does it take
a special module to tell you an estimated time!?! I really can't believe it. Is
this the ultimate in stupid, narrow minded, short sighted greed or what? Hey, PTC,
make it easy on these guys! give them to the tools they need to do everyday,
obvious things.

don't you get it when you post it , like on the last line of the page
that pops up when it's done posting..
you might have to check one of those verbose //??or whatever the other
one is called... checkboxs for it to come up

This might also just be something that was on r2001 and is not there on
WF

Not in expert machinist, but regular NC.
Info/Manufacturing/ pick the NC sequence tab in the popup,
pick a sequence, then look in the info window.
it has all sorts of goodies, and even in expert machinist, drop out of
it into regular ProNC for this info.

see the below example:

This is great! Just the Info menu, naturally! Well, it's come a long way since V19, 20, and i, which was the last time I had anything to do with Pro/MAN or Pro/NC.

BTW, can it do more than a single sequence of a single tool? Maybe a whole operation involving several tools? Or even several operations encompassing the whole program for a part? I'm wondering if you don't have to get involved with some kind of manufacturing analysis feature which accumulates all the separate sequences and operations.

The operation info isnt quite as detailed as a sequence info, but see
below for what it offers. also you'll have to info each operation. I
dont see an option to concat multple ops.:
WF3 maybe?? Which BTW is available in pre-prodction form...

You need to be on a current maintainence contract, then you can
download it from the PTC website.
I'm sure in a month or so, you'll be able to request a CD from them.
but for now, its D/L only
