Slow plotter |
|
|
I have a hp800ps printer temporarily connected via usb, and it is very slow
(slow getting to printer, prints fine once file is received). Eventually I
will use the jetdirect card, but for now, are there any tips to speed things
up a bit?

Thanks

AutoCAD version?
Are you using the PS drivers? Try the HPGL2 diver instead.

Autocad2005 with PS drivers. Will try HPGL2. What is the difference, and
how will it affect prints? HP told me I needed a ps printer to print raster
images, which I do on occasion, so I figured I should load the ps drivers?
Is this correct?
Thanks a bunch,

AutoCAD does not do PS: try Photoshop or Illustrator instead for PS printing
and plotting.
HPGL2 has been around and used with AutoCAD to plot Raster Images for over a
decade, perhaps your HP contact does not know about their own
HP500/600/700/1050 series plotters that they sell too.
