Paper is cut beyond 24" |
|
|
Hello
When I try to plot a 24"x36" sheet on the HP500 from AutoCAD on Windows XP machine, the paper is always cut at 24.5 to 25". Anyone know why it will not cut at exactly 24"?

HP plotters have a minimum "leading and/or trailing" edge. Use this for
starters and work from that.

I will look at that further. I am well below the printable area with my border. Is the printable are in the plot dialog box generic to AutoCad or is it specific to the plotter?

As suggested with the first reply, actually shrink your titleblock to well
below the 24" mark first, then work it back up: don't just check the
literature. Then report findings if you need further help.
Also make sure INKED AREA is not turned on in your driver or on the plotter
as a hardware setting.

I have choked the title block down by 5" and the paper is still coming out at the same length, just under 25".
Inked area is off. |

I had a similar problem with my E (30x42) plots on our HP 1050C.
The easiest solution I found was to lie to the plotter and tell it that the paper size was 1/2" smaller than it's true size. Try using a custom paper size in your plot style setup and see if that helps |
