AutoCAD A3 Drawings cuts off when converted to pdf |
|
|
Hello All,
I seem to be having a problem with plotting my AutoCAD Drawings to pdf after converting them to .EPS and then to PDF the image gets cut off.
My First reaction was to think that it had to do with A4 and A3 Settings but cant seem to get round this.
I am sure this has been discussed on the board before and i am sure i am doing something wrong but will appreciate it if some one can give me a step by step process on how to plot my drawings without images been cut off.
Thanks

There is no page size information in the EPS that AutoCAD creates, so
whatever you use to convert the EPS to PDF takes a default size (usually
Letter size). You could tell the converter to use a specific page size.
GhostScript also offers a more elegant solution; you can enter the
-dEPSCrop command line option; this will take the bounding box in the
EPS, which is exactly the paper size that you specified in AutoCAD.

Thanks Govert,
I am using Adobe Distiller so i have to convert my drawings to (EPS) using a Post Script Plotter before Converting the Post Script File to Pdf.
I had setup a Custom Paper Size and have scaled my drawing but it what it does is make my drawing very small on the page.

If you have Distiller, then why don't you use it's Windows driver? It
should be visible as a system driver in AutoCAD. Note: do not plot to
file with this driver. Distiller will create the file for you.
