Cand you change Autocad 2005 to save in an older version as the default in the 'tools - options'? I know our 2000i version will allow this.

Yes, but the new features in R2005 will not become part of your 2000
installations when you access these files.

And only SAVE command is affected by this setting: not WBLOCK, or REFEDIT or
anything else (just like your 2000i).
