Another plotting problem with lineweight |
|
|
I have created a standard CTB for our office. We are using r2004. When you select the scale lineweight check box, then AutoCAD will scale the lineweights according to the plot scale? It doesn't seem to be scaling according to the viewport since I am having an issue with a file with viewport scale set to 1/32"=1'-0". So if it does not scale to the viewport, then does this mean I still have to create scale specific CTBs? And if so, then I really can't see this feature as an improvement. I am sure everyone has came across this issue.

I think the scaling of lineweights only occur when using STB (style
dependant), rather than CTB (color dependant). I'm thinking of trying to
talk my super's into letting me try a Style dependant format, with
lineweights applied to the drawing.

Scaling of lineweight applies to both CTB and STB. In my opinion, there are as many advantages as to disadvantages in using the STB format. If you want to view lineweights on a CTB formatted file, then all you have to do is assign lineweight to the object or layer.
