Software protection |

Question: if a programer needs source code to work on for a software
company, how does the software company protect itself from a programer
stealing its code? Just curious becauase I am considering hiring a
programer to work on some code for me......

The answer to that is the originator of software probably won't give out
their source. |

I have worked in the past for two software companies and the latest one have a locking system for the core/main functions, that runs only in the development phase.
They use cripkey software.

At ResourceCAD, in most cases, we provide our clients with the source code, subject to the signing of an agreement.
However, if we feel that certain portions of code are IP then we will protect that code. But in most cases we have not felt the need to do that.
