groups like LT98 in 2004 |

I am progressing from LT98 to 2004.
In 98 I select objects and hit the group button to create an unnamed group.
To ungroup I select the group(s) and hit the ungroup button.
2004 makes me name a group and then select objects ( or go for an un named
group).... cumbersome.
To ungroup it's worse, you have to name the group you want to undo, and the
enquiry to find a group's name will list all groups selected... If you are
using nested groups you don't know what you are ungrouping.
Are there scripts / macros that I can run in custom group + ungroup buttons
to get LT98's grouping method to work in 2004.
