scale of .PDFs |
|
|
still somewhat unfamiliar with the whole .pdf process - I created a .pdf with Acrobat Distiller + then printed the .pdf off of our printer (just an 8.5x11) - the scale was wrong - why? - thought that .pdfs were an exact repro. of the drawing the way printing was - have been told that that is now the standard way of sending drawings to be printed at a print shop because then you don't have to worry about .ctbs, fonts, lineweights, etc. but this has me worried - thanks for any help . . .

Make sure you don't have the fit to paper box checked when printing.

Margins and how you set print parameters in your PDF all come into play when
printing and plotting.

I think your question has been answered so as an aside I would like to ask
why are you using distiller? Have you loaded the Acrobat PDFWriter and tried
it? It doesn't install from the Acrobat CD on a standard install. You have
to specifically choose to load it.
