I have read the other posted messages and don't find a REAL answer..

1) Like the other posted messages my plots (in the que) have increased. Is there something I can change?

Example - Plots in Acad 2000 entered the que at 516k...in Acad 2005 they enter que at 2.55M

I am using a Oce 9400 and in Acad 2000 was using the oce6.hdi and now using the oce8.hdi driver.

What is the deal with the increased file size?

2) When plotting drawings 4 out of 6 will print correctly...the other 2 will shift (30X42) and cut off a section of the border. If I plot the same file in Acad 2000 it will plot correctly.

Thanks for the help in advance

1) DWG file content and driver versions/settings determine plot file size:
usually not an issue unless your plotter is low on resources. Looks like for
one you are not even using the same driver.

2) same file, 6 times, or six separate plots in a row, or random six plots
#5 and #6 mess up?

Have you explored using any of the newly posted drivers and options on OCE's
website?

1) I plotted the same drawing in Acad 2000 (516k) and Acad 2005 (2.55M). The only reason that I used the oce8.hdi ....is it is an updated driver. BUT.....why would the same file plotted in Acad 2000 increase 5X in Acad 2005?

2) I plotted S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, & S6.....all from inside Autocad. Let's say file S3 and S5 got cut off. I have gone back and replotted the files that got cut and they still do not plot correctly (but will plot fine in Acad 2000). I checked the page setup, layers, made sure nothing is outside the border, even toggled the option "Specify plot offset relative to" (Under Tools, Option)

I believe that I have the lastest driver from Oce (I did check the site)

Any thoughts??????

1) you are not using the same application or the same driver: so your plot
file sizes would not be the same. Why? ask Autodesk and OCE, this is end
user peer support, pointless asking here ;)

2) Are your files still R2000 format?
I'm curious, is your plotter choking on 2.5MB plot files, or is this a
general quest?

On the driver comment, I meant:

Well.....my question about the file size increase was in hopes to get a few responses. I understand this is user to user support......was hoping someone might have some kind of reason. Thanks for trying to help with this one.

We have a number of clients, and some might use 2005, others 2000, others use some other version..........so I am saving ALL files as 2000 format. It is not killing the plotter.....it just takes longer to process files...due to their size being 5 times bigger. I really am trying to figure out if there is anything that can be done....change a setting....etc.

I have the Oce client tools and Reprodesk
