For instance:

For a layer I select a true colour that is RGB 52,110,203. In the plot style column it will read color 173.

Does that mean that if I plot using our standard ctb file, it will plot objects on that layer with the true colour selected, but, the lineweight, screening, etc. that we set for colour 173?

Can someone confirm this or am I way off?
Thanks,
Dan

Consider changing to STB, where you assign a plot style instead of relying
on screen color: here is where you will find the old CTB way of plotting
falls flat on it's face over color 256.

It's no problem though. Just set the lineweight of that layer in the layer
dialog to whatever value you like. It will come out with the lineweight
specified in the layer dialog.

That's for STB, the OP is using CTB.

True for ctb as well IF you set a color's lineweight to "use object
lineweight."

ctb then becomes somewhat more like stb in that the layer's color no longer
determines the lineweight.

Yes, that is true: wonder if the OP is following all of this.
