Heidi Information Files (*.hif) for HP DesignJet 500 printer |

Hi All,
I am in my current position of employment only a short while. Their are 5 of us in the office. Only one computer terminal is capable of printing to the HP designjet 500 printer. I proceeded to set up my computer.When you pick the 'Have Disc' option (the HP designjet 500 printer is not listed under the listing for HP), it looks for 'heidi information files (*.hif) which I do not know where to find.
I would appreciate your assistance, thank you.

not sure which version of AutoCad you are using, but if you put your
installation CD in, there are HP drivers there that can be accessed.

You must be new to AutoCAD 2000 and higher: HP Windows/System driver needs
to be installed and access by all PCs, if you then also want to create a PC3
file using PLOTTERMANAGER command you select the System or Network driver
(whichever one you installed above) as the basis for it, not MY COMPUTER.
HP only provides system drivers to their plotters, Autodesk doe not write
drivers for anyone.
