Plot Shift/Page Length HP Designjet 500 |
|
|
I am helping a company configure a new HP DJ500 and am having some issues. When I send a plot (i.e. 24X36) it seems to shift the plot over and up, as well as cut the sheet at a length greater than 24 inches.
Some things I've looked into. The plotter does NOT have the HPGL2 add on. I am having this problem with ACAD R14, 2000, and a third party drafting program. When I try plotting a 24X36 from another application, for example Excel, the sheet plots correctly and is cut at the correct length. I've read discussion here about "inked area". I don't think that is the issue in my case because I am picking a specific sheet size. Finally, I plot to an HP 650 and the plot comes out fine. Using the exact same settings in ACAD I plot to the 500 and it is wrong.
What am I overlooking? Any other things I should try?

Use the exact same plot setup you used in Excel, you know, the one that
worked: no PC3 file for now, plot to system printer only.
Once the problem is gone, and if you think you still have to, create a PC3
file from a successful plot.
Throw out everything you brought over from the HP650 too for now.
